Ingredients:
  • 18.40 gm vegetable oil
  • 1 medium brown onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 600g Beef 3 Star Regular Mince
  • 1 carrot, peeled, halved, thinly sliced
  • 20.00 ml plain flour
  • 255.00 gm beef style stock
  • 350g packet fresh chow mein noodles
  • 1 bunch baby pak choy, trimmed, shredded
  • 125.00 ml frozen peas
  • 42.00 gm soy sauce
  • 76.25 gm oyster sauce
Instructions:
  • 1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Sauté onion and garlic for 3 minutes until onion softens. Add mince and cook for 8-10 minutes, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until browned and fully cooked.
  • Place the freshly diced carrot into the pan. Cook and stir for 5 minutes or until the carrot begins to soften. Add the flour and continue to stir for 1 minute. Pour in the stock, season with pepper, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce slightly thickens.
  • Place the noodles in a heatproof bowl and cover them with boiling water. Let them sit for 3 to 5 minutes until tender, then drain.
  • Combine the pak choy, peas, soy sauce, and oyster sauce in the pan. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pak choy is wilted and the peas are tender. Add the noodles and toss everything together before serving.
