Lean beef keema curry spiced with Indian flavors. Versatile dish for filling samosas, topping naan, or serving over rice with fresh garnishes.
Ingredients:
  • 18.40 gm vegetable oil
  • 1 small brown onion, chopped
  • 10.00 gm curry powder
  • 2 tsp bought crushed garlic
  • 1 tsp bought crushed ginger
  • 500g Lean Beef Mince
  • 44.40 gm tomato paste
  • 165ml can coconut milk
  • 150g (1 cup) frozen peas
  • Plain yoghurt, to serve
  • Fresh mint leaves, to serve
  • 4 naan bread, toasted
Instructions:
  • In a large, deep frying pan over medium heat, warm the oil. Sauté the onion for 4 minutes until softened. Stir in curry powder, garlic, and ginger, cooking for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Turn up the heat to medium-high, then add the beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Mix in the tomato paste and coconut milk. Simmer briefly and then lower the heat to medium-low. Add the peas and cook for 3 minutes until heated through.
  • Garnish curry with a dollop of yoghurt and fresh mint, and accompany with warm naan bread.
