Whip up a quick and flavorful Chinese beef mince stir-fry with sticky sauce and chow mein noodles in just 10 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 161.25 gm plum sauce
  • 65.63 gm soy sauce
  • 76.25 gm oyster sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2cm piece fresh ginger, finely grated
  • 18.40 gm vegetable oil
  • 150g green beans, trimmed, halved
  • 1/2 x 300g packet shredded carrot
  • 500g beef mince
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 350g fresh chow mein noodles
  • 1 long red chilli, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • 1. Boil water in kettle. Mix sauces, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a jug.
  • Preheat a wok on high heat and add half of the vegetable oil, swirling to coat. Add beans and carrot, stir-frying for 2 minutes until beans begin to char. Transfer to a spacious bowl.
  • Heat the remaining vegetable oil in a wok until hot. Add the mince and stir-fry for 3 minutes, browning it all over. Mix in the sauce and half of the onion, then season with pepper. Continue to stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes until the mince is fully cooked and the sauce thickens and caramelizes.
  • Place the noodles in a heatproof bowl and cover them with boiling water. Let them sit for a few minutes.
  • Add the vegetables back to the wok and gently mix them together. Take the wok off the heat.
  • After draining the noodles, distribute them into individual serving bowls. Add the mince mixture on top and garnish with the rest of the onion and chili. Ready to serve.
