Elevate mince with vibrant flavors of garlic, ginger, and Chinese five spice for a delicious twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 x 440g pkt flat rice noodles
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) chicken style liquid stock
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) hoisin sauce
  • 21.00 gm soy sauce
  • 8.00 gm brown sugar
  • 1 tsp finely grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Chinese five spice
  • 18.20 gm peanut oil
  • 500g beef mince
  • 1 bunch broccolini, coarsely chopped
  • 1 small red capsicum, halved, deseeded, thinly sliced
  • 1 large carrot, peeled, halved crossways, cut into matchsticks
  • 2 large shallots, trimmed, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • Cook the noodles according to the instructions on the packet. Next, mix the stock, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger, and Chinese five spice in a small bowl.
  • Preheat a wok over high heat until smoking. Add half of the oil and swirl to coat. Stir-fry the mince for 5 minutes until it changes color; then set aside. In the same wok, add the rest of the oil, broccolini, capsicum, and carrot. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until the broccolini is bright green and crisp-tender.
  • Combine the stock mixture, mince, noodles, and shallot in the wok. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until the noodles are tender and heated through. Serve in individual bowls.
