Simplify beef stroganoff - swap beef strips for ground beef for a delicious, quick meal. Perfect over noodles or mashed potatoes.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 0.33333334326744 cup chopped onion
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 0.75 cup sour cream, or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter until sizzling. Add mushrooms and onions, sauté until onions are translucent, about 5 minutes. Add ground beef, cook until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Sprinkle in flour, garlic powder, seasoning salt, paprika, and pepper; mix well.
  • Stir in condensed soup, sour cream, liquid smoke, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens, for about 5 to 7 minutes.
