Beer Bacon Cheeseburger Macaroni

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 3/4 cup beer
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 box Hamburger Helper™ cheeseburger macaroni
  • 5 slices bacon, chopped, cooked
  • 1 can (4 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium-high heat, stirring often, until fully cooked; then, drain any excess fat.
  • Combine hot water, beer, milk, sauce mix, uncooked pasta (from Hamburger Helper box), cooked bacon, and mushrooms in a pot. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Lower the heat, cover the pot, and let it simmer for around 12 minutes. Stir occasionally until the pasta is tender.
