Try these irresistible Beer Nut Cookies - swap in honey-roasted or salted nuts if needed.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1.5 cups beer nut mix
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Beat the shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the room temperature eggs and vanilla until well combined. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking soda, then add to the creamed mixture. Gently fold in the nuts.
  • Spoon 2 teaspoons of cookie dough onto greased sheets. Bake for 11 minutes until firm. Let cool on the sheet for 3 minutes, then transfer to cool completely.
