Crispy beer battered chicken served with savory amber aioli - a crowd-pleasing appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup amber beer
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 1 cup amber beer
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ Wondra® quick-mixing flour
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 20 (1-inch) pieces
  • 1/4 cup Gold Medal™ Wondra® quick-mixing flour
Instructions:
  • Combine the aioli ingredients in a small bowl and whisk until smooth. Cover and refrigerate until you're ready to enjoy.
  • Preheat 3 inches of oil in a deep fat fryer or heavy saucepan to 375°F. In a small bowl, combine beer, 1 cup flour, and 1 teaspoon mustard. Coat chicken pieces in 1/4 cup flour, then dip into beer batter. Fry 5 to 6 chicken pieces at a time for 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown. Serve hot with aioli.
