Beer-Steamed Clams on a Gas Grill

Quick and delicious beach clam dish made with clams and beer, ready in just 20 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 24 to 36 littleneck clams
  • 1 bottle beer
Instructions:
  • Preheat your gas grill. Clean each clam individually, gently scrubbing to remove any sand on the outside.
  • Place a grill-proof pan, such as a camping pan or cast iron pan, on the grill rack. Carefully pour the beer into the pan.
  • Grill clams over medium heat, allowing them to steam with the grill covered for 5 minutes. Remove any clams that are wide open. Continue steaming covered for an additional 5 minutes or until all clams have opened wide. Serve promptly.
