Indulgent berry tart with sugar cookie crust.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup white vanilla baking chips (6 oz)
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease the bottom of a 15x10x1-inch pan. Combine cookie mix, butter, and egg in a large bowl until a soft dough forms. Press the dough into the bottom of the pan and bake for 12 to 15 minutes until lightly golden brown. Allow to cool completely for about 30 minutes before serving.
  • 1. Microwave baking chips in a small microwaveable bowl on High for 45 to 60 seconds until melted and smooth. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Mix in melted chips until well blended. Spread the mixture over the crust and refrigerate while preparing the topping.
  • Combine sugar, cornstarch, and water in a 2-quart saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the mixture boils and thickens. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before using.
  • In a medium bowl, delicately mix strawberries with 1/4 cup of cornstarch mixture until combined. In another bowl, gently combine blueberries with the remaining 1/4 cup of cornstarch mixture. Spread the strawberry mixture over half of the cream cheese mixture and the blueberries over the other half. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Slice the bars lengthwise, then cut each half into eight 3 1/2-inch triangles. Refrigerate for storage.
