Cheesy jalapeño poppers with crispy bacon, deep-fried to perfection. An irresistible party favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 12 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon bacon bits
  • 12 ounces jalapeño peppers, seeded and halved
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 2 quarts oil for frying, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Combine cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, and bacon bits in a medium bowl until fully mixed. Fill jalapeño halves with the mixture.
  • Place milk in a small bowl, flour in another, and bread crumbs in a third.
  • After stuffing the jalapeños, coat them thoroughly in milk and then in flour. Place them on a plate to dry for 10 minutes.
  • Double dip the jalapeños in milk, then coat with bread crumbs, ensuring they are fully covered. Allow to dry on a plate for 10 minutes. Repeat the process one more time for an extra crispy coating. Let dry again before serving.
  • In a medium skillet, heat the oil to 365 degrees F (180 degrees C) until shimmering.
  • Fry the breaded jalapeños in batches until golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes each. Drain on paper towels.
  • Indulge in the dish while it's still piping hot!
