Indulge in a decadent Black Forest dessert with rich chocolate and juicy cherries.
Ingredients:
  • 415g can stoneless black cherries, drained, halved
  • 300.00 gm self-raising flour
  • 32.50 gm cocoa powder, sifted
  • 180.00 gm brown sugar
  • 257.50 gm milk
  • 125g butter, melted
  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • Whipped cream, to serve
  • 20.00 gm cocoa powder, sifted
  • 500.00 gm boiling water
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180C/160C fan-forced. Drain the cherries on paper towel and pat dry. In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa, and sugar, then make a well in the center. Add milk and butter, stirring until just combined. Mix in the chocolate and cherries thoroughly. Spoon the batter into a 10 cup-capacity ovenproof dish, spreading it out evenly.
  • Create a Rich Sauce: In a heatproof jug, combine sugar and cocoa. Slowly whisk in boiling water until smooth.
  • Place the dish on an oven tray and elegantly drizzle the sauce over the batter using the back of a large spoon. Bake for 55 minutes to 1 hour until the pudding is firm to the touch and the sauce is bubbling around the edges. Serve with cream for a delightful finishing touch.
