Indulge in homemade blackberry jam bursting with fresh fruit flavors. Perfect for toast, ice cream, or yogurt.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups blackberries
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 0.5 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions:
  • Mash blackberries in a saucepan until juicy. Stir in sugar until dissolved. Take 1 tablespoon blackberry juice from the pan and mix it with cornstarch in a small bowl. Add cornstarch mixture back into the saucepan.
  • Place fresh blackberries in a saucepan and bring to a vigorous boil. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the jam thickens, usually around 15 minutes. Gently stir in the cinnamon and allspice before serving.
  • Let the jam cool off for 30 to 45 minutes. Transfer to a bowl, cover, and chill in the refrigerator. Stir in lemon juice before serving.
