Blueberry Mint Margarita: A refreshing twist on the classic cocktail, perfect for summer gatherings!
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups tequila blanco (also called plato or silver tequila)
  • 2 cups orange liqueur such as Triple Sec or Cointreau
  • 1 cup lime juice
  • 3 cups blueberries
  • A few sprigs of mint
  • Agave nectar or simple syrup , to sweeten if needed
  • Ice
  • Kosher or flake salt (not iodized salt) for rimming the glass (optional)
  • Extra blueberries and lime wedges for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
  • Create a vibrant infusion: Combine tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and blueberries in a blender. Pulse 8 to 10 times. Let it infuse for at least 30 minutes.
  • Combine the mixture in a bowl with fresh mint leaves and gently muddle them to release the flavors. Let it infuse for 5 minutes.
  • Strain the solids by pouring the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher filled with ice. Use the back of a spoon to press the solids to extract all the liquid.
  • Adjust sweetness to perfection: Sample the margaritas and adjust by incorporating agave nectar or simple syrup for enhanced sweetness, if desired.
  • Prepare the glass: Fill a small plate or bowl with salt for rimming. Rub the rim of a glass with a lime wedge and dip it into the salt, coating evenly.
  • Time to enjoy the margaritas! Pour the drinks into the glasses and add a final touch with lime wedges or skewered blueberries. Cheers!
