Whole wheat buttermilk bread sweetened with molasses and brown sugar.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 0.66666668653488 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup molasses
  • 2 cups buttermilk
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x5 inch loaf pan by greasing and lightly dusting with flour.
  • Combine whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and brown sugar in a large bowl. Add molasses and buttermilk and mix until just combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake until cooked through and golden. Allow it to cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes, then carefully remove from the pan. Ensure it cools completely before slicing.
