Whiskey-infused cooked apples with a hint of lemon and cinnamon - perfect for breakfast or alongside pork chops.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon Bourbon whiskey
  • 2 large apples, cored and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon raisins
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter with water and bourbon. Stir in apples, raisins, brown sugar, and cinnamon until coated. Boil, then simmer on low, stirring often, until apples are tender and liquid thickens (about 10 minutes). Mix in lemon juice, then serve warm.
