Beer-braised cabbage and Canadian bacon is a simple, delicious side dish with only 5 ingredients. Perfect for any meal!
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 0.5 (6 ounce) package Canadian-style bacon, chopped, or to taste
  • 1 head white cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer
Instructions:
  • In a large stockpot, sauté onion and bacon in oil over medium heat until fragrant, for about 2 to 4 minutes. Add cabbage, mix, then pour in beer. Cover and simmer gently, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender, for 10 to 15 minutes.
