Brandy-infused baked pears filled with nuts, topped with liqueur whipped cream.
Ingredients:
  • 0.33333334326744 cup brown sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 3 large pears, peeled, halved, and cored
  • 0.33333334326744 cup walnuts, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1.5 tablespoons brandy
  • 1 tablespoon plain yogurt
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons brandy, sherry, or other liqueur
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Combine the brown sugar, water, and lemon juice in a baking dish until the sugar dissolves. Arrange pear halves in the dish with the flat side down, then brush with the sauce. Cover the dish with foil.
  • Bake in the oven until the pears are tender when pierced with a fork, about 20-25 minutes.
  • Combine walnuts, rich brown sugar, a touch of flavorful brandy, and creamy yogurt in a small bowl.
  • Whisk cream until stiff peaks form in a separate bowl. Mix in white sugar and 2 teaspoons of brandy with gentle strokes until fully incorporated.
  • Place the warm pear halves on serving plates, flip them over. Fill the cavities with nut stuffing, add a dollop of whipped cream on top. Drizzle the remaining cooking sauce over them.
