Try this amazing Detroit-style pizza hack for a no-dough twist!
Ingredients:
  • 6 slices stale French or Italian bread (1/2-inch thick)
  • 6 tablespoons soft unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
  • 2/3 cup pizza sauce, or as needed
  • 6 ounces mozzarella cheese, diced
  • 18 slices pepperoni
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) while you prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Generously butter both sides of the bread slices on a prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese over each slice, gently pressing it into the butter. Flip the slices over, layer with pizza sauce, and spread evenly.
  • Bake until the bottoms turn a beautiful golden brown, for 10-12 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • Sprinkle each pizza with mozzarella and 3 slices of pepperoni each (or toppings of your choice). Bake until the mozzarella is melted and the bottom crust is crispy and golden brown, for an additional 10 to 12 minutes.
