Elevate your bread pudding with a decadent whiskey sauce. Perfect for brunch or special celebrations!
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 cups milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 1 (1 pound) loaf French bread, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 0.25 cup whiskey
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Combine milk, eggs, 3 tablespoons of melted butter, and vanilla in a large bowl, mixing until smooth. Slowly incorporate 1/4 cup of sugar until fully dissolved.
  • Spread the bread cubes evenly in the baking dish. Pour the milk-egg mixture over the bread, ensuring it soaks in completely. Top with a sprinkle of pecans for a delightful crunch.
  • Bake until golden perfection, approximately 1 hour in the preheated oven.
  • As the bread pudding nears completion, gently simmer 1/2 cup white sugar, 1/2 cup butter, cream, and whiskey in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly until the sauce gently boils.
  • Take the bread pudding out of the oven and generously drizzle the sauce over it before serving.
