Overnight sausage breakfast casserole with pork sausage, eggs, and cheese. Perfect for feeding a crowd. Prep ahead for an easy morning bake.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground pork sausage
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 slices white bread, toasted and cut into cubes
  • 8 ounces mild Cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions:
  • Break up the sausage in a medium skillet. Cook over medium heat until perfectly browned; then drain any excess grease.
  • Combine mustard powder, salt, eggs, and milk in a medium bowl. Stir in sausage, bread cubes, and cheese until everything is evenly coated.
  • Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then cover and bake for 45 to 60 minutes.
  • Once uncovered, lower the oven temperature to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and bake for another 30 minutes, or until fully set.
  • Serve the dish piping hot and savor the delicious flavors!
