Elevate your broccoli with a creamy, cheesy bake that's pure comfort in every bite.
Ingredients:
  • 8 cups fresh broccoli
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1.25 cups milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) for a perfect bake.
  • Steam the broccoli over boiling water until just tender but still slightly crisp, for 2 to 6 minutes. Drain well before serving.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add flour and cook until bubbly. Stir in onion, then milk. Bring to a boil, cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Combine the cheese and eggs until the cheese is melted, then mix in the broccoli until well combined. Transfer the mixture to a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  • Bake until bubbly, around 30 minutes in the preheated oven.
