Try this delicious gluten-free broccoli and cheese crust as a unique twist on pizza.
Ingredients:
  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 0.5 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 0.25 cup Italian-seasoned gluten-free bread crumbs
  • 4 leaves fresh basil leaves, rolled and finely sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C), and elegantly line a spacious baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Pulse broccoli florets in a food processor until riced. Transfer to a paper towel and gently squeeze out excess water.
  • Combine broccoli "rice", mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, bread crumbs, garlic, basil, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a mini crust. Transfer to a baking sheet.
  • Place in the preheated oven until the bottom is lightly browned, approximately 30 minutes. Flip the crusts and bake until the other side is golden brown, about 10 to 12 minutes longer.
