Soy-ginger honey marinade transforms salmon into a quick and flavorful broiled dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (1 pound) skin-on salmon fillet
  • 0.5 cup light soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 0.5 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions:
  • Position the oven rack 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the broiler. Line a heat-resistant baking dish with aluminum foil and place the salmon, skin-side down, in the dish.
  • Combine soy sauce, ginger, honey, sesame seeds, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl until the honey is fully incorporated. Drizzle the mixture over the salmon fillet, ensuring the entire top surface is coated.
  • Broil the salmon until golden brown on top, about 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from the oven and brush the fillet with the pan drippings. Turn off the broiler and preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • Place the dish back in the oven and bake for approximately 10 minutes until the fish develops a luxurious dark brown glaze and is easily flaked with a fork. Remove the skin before serving.
