Cozy up with Brown Butter Chai Blondies this winter - a simple yet flavorful treat combining nutty brown butter and warming chai spices for ultimate comfort.
Ingredients:
  • 14 tablespoons unsalted butter (3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons), cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup white vanilla baking chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously coat the bottom of a 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • In a light-colored saucepan, melt butter pieces over medium heat, stirring constantly with a rubber spatula until evenly melted and golden brown. Once foamy and browned, remove from heat and promptly transfer to a heatproof bowl. Allow to cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to combine the browned butter with the remaining Blondies ingredients until smooth. Spread the mixture evenly in the pan.
  • Bake for 24 to 28 minutes until beautifully golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool completely, around 1 hour.
  • Melt the chips in a small microwavable bowl on 50% power for 60 to 90 seconds until smooth when stirred. Drizzle over the top, then cut into 6 by 4 rows. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
