Tangy orange Brussels sprouts topped with toasted walnuts for a simple and flavorful side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon walnut oil
  • 2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and cut in half
  • 1 medium orange, zested and juiced
  • 0.25 cup chopped walnuts
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Heat walnut oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add Brussels sprouts, cut-sides down, and cook until lightly browned, 5 to 10 minutes. Pour in orange juice and cook until sprouts are tender, about 5 minutes. Transfer sprouts and juices to a large bowl.
  • Toast walnuts in a small skillet over medium heat, stirring often, until lightly golden, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Combine walnuts with Brussels sprouts, sprinkle orange zest, gently mix, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
