Whip up these irresistible cocoa and vanilla brownie crisps for a light and airy treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon espresso powder
  • 2 egg whites, beaten
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together sugar, butter, vanilla extract, and espresso powder, then beat in egg whites. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gently fold flour mixture into the egg mixture until well combined. Spread the batter thinly on the baking sheet, aiming for a consistency similar to American cheese slices.
  • Once cooked almost through in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, make a shallow square pattern using a sharp knife. Return to the oven and bake until crispy, around 5 minutes.
  • Allow the mixture to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to fully cool before breaking it into squares.
