Indulgent brownie with crispy bacon potato chip topping for the ultimate salty-sweet crunch. Perfect for all taste buds.
Ingredients:
  • 180g dark cooking chocolate, chopped
  • 150g butter, chopped
  • 3 eggs
  • 215.00 gm caster sugar
  • 3/4 plain flour
  • 1/3 cocoa powder
  • 150g packet Smith’s Limited Edition Crispy Bacon chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 160°C/140°C fan forced. Grease a 16 x 26cm slab pan and line it with baking paper, ensuring the paper overhangs on the two long sides.
  • Melt the chocolate and butter in a large heatproof bowl over simmering water for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally until smooth. Take it off the heat and let it cool for 5 minutes.
  • Whisk the eggs gently in a small bowl. Combine with the chocolate mixture and stir until fully incorporated. Stir in the sugar, then sift in the flour and cocoa. Mix until just combined.
  • Spread one-third of the chips evenly on the bottom of the pan. Spoon half of the brownie mixture over the chips and use a palette knife to smooth it out.
  • Layer half of the remaining chips on top, then pour in the rest of the brownie mixture. Smooth the surface and sprinkle the remaining chips on top. Bake for 40 minutes. Allow to cool completely in the pan for 4-6 hours before slicing.
