Delicious beef and pork meatballs infused with Korean bulgogi flavors of sesame oil, green onions, and Asian pear.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 0.25 Asian pear, grated
  • 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons minced green onions
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons fish sauce
  • 0.75 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 0.5 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
Instructions:
  • Combine soy sauce, Asian pear, brown sugar, green onions, sesame oil, garlic, fish sauce, and pepper in a large bowl. Add beef, pork, bread crumbs, and egg, and mix gently until just combined. Refrigerate mixture for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 425°F (220°C).
  • Shape the meat mixture into approximately 45 mini meatballs and place them on 2 baking sheets.
  • Bake in the oven until golden and tender, about 18 to 20 minutes, turning halfway through. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
