Sweet butter toffee popcorn: Popcorn coated in homemade syrup with butter, sugar, and vanilla extract.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup unpopped popcorn
  • 0.5 cup light corn syrup
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Pop the popcorn using an air popper following the manufacturer's guidelines.
  • In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, melt together sugar, corn syrup, butter, and water until the toffee syrup reaches 280 degrees F (138 degrees C) on a candy thermometer, approximately 10 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in vanilla extract.
  • Combine toffee syrup and popcorn in a large bowl, ensuring even distribution.
