Sautéed ham, cabbage, and noodles with onions - a tasty way to transform leftover ham into a delightful skillet dish!
Ingredients:
  • 0.33333334326744 cup butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 (2 pound) cabbage, cored and coarsely chopped
  • 1 (16 ounce) package potato gnocchi
  • 2 cups cubed fully cooked ham
  • salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in cabbage and cook until tender, around 20 minutes.
  • As the cabbage simmers, prepare a large pot of salted water and bring to a vigorous boil. Cook gnocchi until they rise to the surface, approximately 3 minutes, then drain.
  • Combine the cooked gnocchi and ham with the cabbage mixture, cook until warmed through, then season with salt and black pepper to taste.
