Spicy Cajun shrimp Alfredo with andouille sausage over angel hair pasta for a quick and flavor-packed meal.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 pound andouille sausage, diced
  • 0.25 onion, diced
  • 0.25 cup diced celery
  • 0.25 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1.75 cups milk
  • 1 (1.6 oz) package dry Alfredo sauce mix (such as Knorr®)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 0.5 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic, divided
Instructions:
  • In a skillet, sauté sausage, onion, celery, red bell pepper, Cajun seasoning, and sage until sausage is cooked through and vegetables are softened, for about 5-10 minutes. Add shrimp and cook until pink and cooked through, approximately 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Combine milk, Alfredo sauce mix, and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally, until smooth and thickened, about 2 minutes. Melt Parmesan cheese and garlic into the sauce, then add the shrimp mixture.
