Candied bacon sticks: Crispy breadsticks wrapped in bacon and brown sugar, baked to perfection. Perfect for entertaining.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 2 pounds bacon, cut in half lengthwise
  • 2 (3 ounce) packages thin breadsticks (such as Alessi®)
  • 2 cups brown sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C), then prep 2 baking sheets with aluminum foil or parchment paper and a spritz of cooking spray.
  • Take a savory bacon strip and carefully wrap it around each breadstick, leaving a bit of each end exposed. Arrange the wrapped breadsticks on the baking sheet. Then generously sprinkle brown sugar over them.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and browned. Allow the breadsticks to cool on parchment paper or waxed paper sprayed with cooking spray.
