Bake thick bacon with brown sugar, vinegar, and maple syrup for sweet, smoky candied bacon - perfect party treat!
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 pound thick-cut bacon
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect bake.
  • Combine the brown sugar, rice vinegar, maple syrup, and black pepper in a small bowl and stir well.
  • Arrange the bacon slices on a cooling rack placed over a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for a total of 15 minutes, turning slices halfway through.
  • Discard bacon and generously coat both sides with brown sugar mixture.
  • Place the bacon back in the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Continue to generously coat the bacon with its delicious juices every 5 minutes until it turns beautifully browned and tantalizingly crisp, which should take roughly 35 minutes.
