Irresistible baked sweet potatoes glazed with maple syrup - a Thanksgiving favorite for all ages!
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • butter-flavored cooking spray
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 0.25 cup pure maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons salted butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Boil a pot of water until it bubbles, then add sweet potatoes. Let them boil until they can be pierced easily with a knife, for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) while greasing an 8-inch square baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine cinnamon, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and allspice in a small bowl. In a separate bowl, blend together maple syrup and melted butter.
  • After draining the potatoes, transfer them to a bowl and mash them thoroughly. Stir in the spice mix until well blended. Transfer the seasoned potatoes to the prepared baking pan and drizzle the maple syrup mixture over the top.
  • Bake in the heated oven until warm, for 5 to 10 minutes.
