Caprese burger: Basil, marinated tomatoes, fresh mozzarella on a juicy beef patty. Flavor explosion!
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 thick slices tomato
  • 1.3333333730698 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 4 hamburger buns, split
Instructions:
  • Combine balsamic vinegar, oil, salt, and pepper in a small bowl and drizzle over the tomato slices for a flavorful marinade.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Combine ground beef, tomato paste, fresh basil, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and 1/4 tsp pepper in a large mixing bowl. Shape the mixture into 4 patties of equal size.
  • Grill the burgers to your liking for about 5 minutes on each side for well-done, until reaching an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C). Melt mozzarella cheese on top and serve on hamburger buns with marinated tomato slices.
