Make quick and tasty caramel apple tarts with ease.
Ingredients:
  • 12 bought tart shells
  • 250ml caramel
  • 3 Pink Lady apples
  • 60ml lemon juice
  • 2.40 gm sea salt flakes
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 200C.
  • Arrange the tart shells on a spacious baking tray and bake for 10 minutes.
  • Generously spoon 1 tablespoon of the luscious caramel into each tart shell.
  • Prepare the apple roses by coring the apples using an apple corer. Slice the apples lengthwise and cut them crosswise into 1mm-thick slices. Combine the apple slices with lemon juice in a large bowl. Let it sit for 10 minutes until softened. Create the apple roses by tightly rolling up approximately 14 overlapping apple slices on a clean surface. Place the roses on the tarts. Repeat with the remaining slices. Finish by sprinkling with salt.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes, or until the pastry is a beautiful golden brown and the apple slices are tender. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
