Apple Walnut Crumble: Sweet, creamy apples baked to tender perfection with a golden brown walnut topping.
Ingredients:
  • 5 cups peeled, thinly sliced Golden Delicious or Braeburn apples
  • 0.25 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 (9 inch) Classic Crisco® Pie Crust
  • 1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 0.25 cup butter, melted
  • 0.33333334326744 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Mix apple slices with 1/4 cup brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl until fully coated. Place the apple mixture into the pie crust. Combine sweetened condensed milk and melted butter in the same bowl until velvety smooth, then pour over the apples. Bake for 30 minutes. Enjoy the delicious aroma filling your kitchen!
  • In a medium bowl, mix 1/3 cup brown sugar and flour. Add 2 tablespoons cold butter and blend with a pastry blender or 2 knives until crumbly. Mix in walnuts and sprinkle over the pie.
  • Continue baking for an extra 35 to 40 minutes until the apples are tender and the topping turns a beautiful golden brown. Allow it to cool completely on a wire rack.
