Delicious caramel almond tartlets - ideal for a quick and easy afternoon treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 x 395g can NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 70g (1/3 cup, firmly packed) brown sugar
  • 50g butter
  • 1 1/2 x 250g pkts (30 biscuits) Butternut Snap Cookie
  • 50g (1/2 cup) flaked almonds
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C while preparing a baking tray lined with non-stick baking paper.
  • Combine sweetened condensed milk, sugar, and butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir with a wooden spoon for 10-12 minutes until the caramel thickens (avoid boiling). Let it cool for 30 minutes before using.
  • Place 4 biscuits on a baking tray and bake until softened, about 2 minutes. Press them into four 40ml (2-tablespoon) capacity patty pans. Repeat the process with the remaining biscuits. Toast the almonds on a baking tray for 8-10 minutes.
  • Distribute the caramel evenly among the cases and top with the almonds before serving.
