Ingredients:
  • 30g butter
  • 30g butter, at room temperature
  • 500.00 gm water
  • 270.00 gm brown sugar
  • 225.00 gm self-raising flour
  • 112.50 gm sugar (white or caster)
  • 2.20 gm vanilla essence
  • 84.98 gm milk
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, melt 30g of butter until sizzling. Stir in water and brown sugar, then bring to a rapid boil.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine sifted flour and 30g of softened butter, rubbing together with fingertips until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add sugar, vanilla, and milk, and mix until dough forms. Roll small teaspoons of dough mixture into balls until all dough is used.
  • Gently add dough balls to the caramel, cover the saucepan, and simmer for 15 minutes.
