Caramel Pretzel Brownies

Easy and irresistible caramel pretzel brownies made with brownie mix, caramels, pretzels, chocolate chips, and toffee bits.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (14 ounce) bag individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped, divided
  • 1 (18.3 ounce) package fudge brownie mix (such as Betty Crocker®)
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 cup chopped pretzels
  • 0.75 cup chocolate chips
  • 0.33333334326744 cup chocolate-covered toffee bits
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Cut each of the 9 caramels in half.
  • Combine brownie mix with vegetable oil, water, and eggs in a bowl until smooth. Pour batter into baking dish. Press 18 caramel halves into the batter, ensuring there is one in the center of each brownie.
  • Bake in the warm oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out nearly clean, for about 25 to 30 minutes. Take out from the oven.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt caramels, butter, and milk in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted (1 to 3 minutes based on your microwave's strength).
  • Drizzle caramel mixture generously over freshly baked brownies. Sprinkle a mix of pretzels, chocolate chips, and toffee bits on top. Allow to cool for 20 minutes before slicing into 18 squares.
