Indulge in a mouthwatering caramel-apple pie dessert with Pillsbury™ Pie Crusts.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (14.1 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Pie Crusts (2 Count), softened as directed on box
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch caramel topping
  • 2 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 8 cups baking apples, peeled, cored, sliced 1/2 inch (6 to 8 medium apples)
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon milk
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • Vanilla ice cream, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F and position a cookie sheet on the bottom rack. Follow instructions on the box to make pie crusts for a Two-Crust Pie in a 9-inch glass pie plate. Combine 1/2 cup topping with 2 tablespoons flour in a small bowl, then spread mixture in the bottom pie crust.
  • In a large bowl, toss together apples, brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, and cinnamon until well combined. Spread the apple mixture over the caramel evenly and press down gently. Cut decorative shapes in the top crust to allow steam to escape, then carefully place it over the apples. Seal and flute the edges. Brush the crust with milk and sprinkle with sugar before baking. Enjoy!
  • Bake for 60 to 70 minutes until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown. After 30 minutes, cover the pie with foil to prevent overbrowning. Let it cool for about 2 hours before serving.
  • Place the remaining 1/2 cup topping in a small microwavable bowl and microwave uncovered on High for 30 to 45 seconds until warm. Serve slices of pie with a scoop of ice cream and drizzle warm topping over the top.
