Caramel apple sugar cookie tart: a delightful and simple treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • Butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch
  • 1 cup from 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 1/4 cup caramel topping
  • 1 can (21 oz) more fruit apple pie filling, coarsely chopped (about 2 1/3 cups)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons caramel topping
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously coat a 12-inch pizza pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine cookie mix, butter, and egg in a medium bowl until a soft dough forms, then press the dough evenly into the pan.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the edges turn a perfect golden brown. Allow to cool completely in the pan on a cooling rack for approximately 1 hour.
  • Combine frosting with 1/4 cup caramel topping in a small bowl. Spread mixture over crust, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Add apple pie filling on top. Sprinkle with pecans and drizzle with 2 tablespoons caramel topping. Cut into wedges and enjoy! Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator.
