Indulgent dessert: Caramelized banana split with salted caramel ice cream and dark chocolate drizzle.
Ingredients:
  • 100g good-quality dark cooking chocolate, chopped
  • 180ml thickened cream
  • 2.20 gm vanilla essence
  • 60g butter, chopped
  • 110g brown sugar
  • 4 firm ripe bananas, halved lengthways
  • 8 scoops Creamy Classic Salted Caramel Ice Cream
  • 35g peanuts
Instructions:
  • In a small saucepan over low heat, combine chocolate, 1/2 cup (125ml) cream, and vanilla. Stir constantly for 3-5 minutes until the mixture is smooth and the chocolate is melted. Remove from heat and cover to keep warm.
  • In a large frying pan over medium-low heat, melt the butter and sugar. Add the banana and cook for 3-5 minutes, spooning the sauce over them until caramelized. Swirl in the remaining cream. Carefully transfer the banana to serving plates, top each with 2 scoops of ice cream, drizzle with chocolate sauce, and sprinkle with peanuts before serving.
