Delicious French toast inspired by grandma's recipe - easier than cinnamon rolls!
Ingredients:
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 6 eggs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 8 slices bread
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup water
Instructions:
  • Heat two tablespoons of butter in a frying pan over medium high heat until melted.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and salt. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, then fry until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Once the first 4 slices of bread have been cooked, melt the 2 remaining tablespoons of butter. Cook the remaining bread slices until they are light brown on both sides and the egg is cooked through.
  • Once all bread slices have been cooked and removed from the pan, toss in brown sugar and stir until it melts and becomes sticky. Pour in water and stir well. Dip the French toast into the caramel sauce, ensuring it's fully coated, then remove from the pan and serve.
