Crowd-pleasing carrot cake bars made with Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ mix. Enhanced with cinnamon and maple, topped with a luxurious cream cheese frosting. Serves 48, perfect for parties and potlucks.
Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Delights Super Moist™ Carrot Cake Mix
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon maple flavor
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Grease a 15x10x1-inch pan with baking spray that includes flour.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to blend the bar ingredients until smooth. Spread the mixture evenly in the pan.
  • Bake for 19 to 24 minutes until the top is beautifully golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely for about 1 hour.
  • In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer on low speed to blend cream cheese, butter, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, until you achieve a smooth and spreadable frosting. Evenly spread the frosting over the cooled bars and refrigerate covered for storage.
