Indulge in these irresistible poached pears as the perfect ending to your healthy meal.
Ingredients:
  • 45g cashew
  • 30g unsalted butter, chilled, cubed
  • 40g self-raising flour
  • 32.00 gm brown sugar
  • 4 ripe beurre bosc pears, halved, cored
  • 60ml maple syrup
  • Vanilla ice cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C. Roast the cashews on a baking tray until golden, about 5 minutes. Chop them and set aside.
  • Rub the butter into the flour using your fingertips, then stir in the sugar.
  • Coat the pears with the luscious maple syrup and sauté in a frying pan over medium heat until they glimmer with a golden hue. Then, nestle the pears into a baking dish, cut side facing up.
  • Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the pears, then add the cashews. Bake for 10 minutes. Drizzle with any extra maple syrup and serve with vanilla ice cream.
