Elevate green beans with Asian-inspired teriyaki glaze, zesty mustard, and crispy cashews.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 1/2 pounds green beans
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki baste and glaze (from 12-ounce bottle)
  • 1 tablespoon margarine or butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/2 cup drained roasted red bell peppers (from 7-ounce jar), cut into strips
  • 1/2 cup cashew pieces
Instructions:
  • In a 4-quart Dutch oven, bring water to a vigorous boil and add the beans. Boil them uncovered for 5 minutes, then cover and continue boiling for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until they are just tender. Drain the beans and put them back into the Dutch oven.
  • Blend together the teriyaki glaze, margarine, honey, and mustard until smooth. Drizzle over the beans and mix until fully coated. Add bell peppers and sprinkle with cashews for extra crunch.
