Pan-seared sirloin steak gets a flavor boost with a 45-minute marinade before finishing in the oven for a juicy perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (6 ounce) beef top sirloin steaks
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 0.5 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1.5 tablespoons steak seasoning (such as Fiesta Brand® Uncle Chris'), or to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • sea salt to taste
Instructions:
  • Collect all the ingredients needed for the recipe.
  • Lay the steaks in a spacious casserole dish and pour in the orange juice, cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Chill, uncovered, in the fridge for 45 minutes to infuse flavors.
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 425°F (220°C).
  • Take the casserole dish out of the refrigerator. Wrap the steaks in plastic wrap and let them sit at room temperature for at least 15 minutes.
  • Lay the steaks on a clean surface and season generously with steak seasoning and black pepper.
  • Get that cast-iron skillet sizzling with olive oil over high heat.
  • Sear steaks in a hot skillet until golden brown on one side, about 2 1/2 minutes.
  • Continue cooking the item until it is golden brown on the other side and juicy red in the center, approximately 2 more minutes.
  • Place the skillet with the steaks in the oven.
  • Roast in the preheated oven until steaks are just pink in the center and firm, about 8 to 10 minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches between 130°F (54°C) and 140°F (60°C).
  • Take the steaks out of the oven, sprinkle with salt, and allow them to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve and savor!
