Upgrade your stuffing by adding plenty of celery for extra flavor. Bake any extra dressing outside the turkey in a buttered dish. For a moist turkey, slide stuffing under the skin of the breast before baking.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup minced onion
  • 2 cups diced celery, with leaves
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 4 quarts bread cubes
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon sage
  • 1 pinch dried thyme
  • 1 pinch dried marjoram
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, melt butter until sizzling. Saute onion until soft, without browning. Add celery, stir, then pour in 2 cups of chicken broth. Bring to a boil, cover, and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine bread cubes with eggs, salt, pepper, sage, thyme, and marjoram. Mix in the onion-celery mixture until well incorporated. If needed, pour in more chicken broth until desired consistency is reached. Perfect for stuffing a 10 to 15 pound turkey.
